2010 Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept

For the 2010 Detroit show, is completely sober Cadillac shows full-size sedan concept, the XTS Platinum. In stark contrast with the Sixteen, which was powered by a monstrous 13.6-liter V16 engine, the XTS is designed to plug-in hybrid powertrain with the help of the familiar 3.6-liter V6, along with at least one electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. So the XTS's powertrain has fewer cylinders 10, 10 liter less displacement and 650 horses less than the Sixteen's.

But a combined 350 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque from the powertrain XTS concept is also a lot more feasible for an eventual production of the car - not a quarter cost one million U.S. dollars. In fact the whole front is much more feasible concept for production since the XTS Platinum concept reveals key elements of the production XTS luxury sedan to replace the drive DTS sedan and the rear-drive STS sedan, and is definitely going into production GM's Oshawa, Ontario, plant in January 2012th

The XTS concept that the difference between the DTS and STS with all-wheel drive down, which is right between the two existing sedans in total length. The XTS concept runs in exactly the same length (111.7 inch) wheelbase as the Buick LaCrosse. Production XTS, which Cadillac will begin production in 2011 or early 2012, will use the same platform as the Epsilon II LaCrosse.

The outline of the concept styling to production cars. We expect to see CTS-style grille, sans the satin finish on the nose of the car production, together with the stacked headlights are stretched back along the top of the fenders. Rising Belt Line and wrinkle-side look ready for the stamping plant. And the concept of high-in-height, but the short-to-stem length and fast backlight will confuse viewers on the production as much as he wants on the concept.
